Windows App for Plus2 – Installation Guide

Problem

This guide assists users in downloading, installing, signing in to, and launching applications (such as Plus2) via the Windows App. It is designed for new Gladstone Cloud Plus2 users and those moving from the Remote Desktop App, which will no longer be supported after March 2026.

Resolution

  1. Check Prerequisites

    • Ensure you have a Windows PC with internet access.
    • Have your @gladstone-leisurecloud.net Gladstone Cloud account credentials.
    • Make sure you have permission to install software on your PC. If not, contact your local IT team.
  2. Download the Windows App

    • Option 1: Use a direct download link (provided by your administrator or support).
    • Option 2: Open the Microsoft Store, search for "Windows App," and click Install.
  3. Install the Windows App

    • Run the installer after downloading and follow any on-screen prompts.
    • If a permissions error occurs, contact your local IT team for help.
  4. Sign in to the Windows App

    • Open the Windows App by clicking the Start button, typing “Windows App,” and launching the application.
    • Click Sign In and enter your @gladstone-leisurecloud.net account credentials.
    • Important: Do not use any account connected to your local organisation; always use your @gladstone-leisurecloud.net account.
  5. Confirm the Devices Tab

    • After signing in, the app will open to the Devices tab.
    • Your signed-in account will appear here.
    • If you see the message "Your system administrator hasn't set up any resources for you," you can ignore it.
  6. View and Launch Applications

    • Click the Apps tab on the left-hand side.
    • All applications published to your account by Gladstone will be listed here.
    • Click the application you want to run and follow any on-screen prompts.
  7. Customise the Windows App (Optional)

    • Change how applications display (grid or list) with the layout toggle in the top-right of the Apps tab.
    • Switch between light and dark mode using the theme option in app settings.
