# Setting Advance Booking Windows in Plus2

HTML version: [Setting Advance Booking Windows in Plus2](https://support.gladstonesoftware.cloud/plus2/setting-advance-booking-windows-in-plus2)

## Problem
Administrators need to control how far ahead customers can book an activity or class. The **Restrictions** number on each Plus2 activity or reservation sets this, and its counting is easy to get wrong.

## Resolution

1. **Open the activity or reservation**
   - Open the activity or reservation and go to its **Restrictions** tab.

2. **Enter the advance booking number**
   - The number counts from **0 = unlimited**:

   | Enter | Bookable |
   |---|---|
   | 0 | As far ahead as the booking sheet is open |
   | 1 | Same day only |
   | 2 | One day ahead |
   | 3 | Two days ahead |
   | 8 | Seven days ahead |
   | 11 | Ten days ahead |

   - Typical windows: classes 7 days (enter 8), racquet sports 10 days (enter 11), some sessions up to three months.

3. **Save**
   - Click **Save**.

## Notes

- The **booking sheet opening period** (how far ahead anything can be scheduled, usually one year) is set at build. Recurring classes extend a day at a time as the window rolls forward.
- **Midnight offset** releases a day's classes at one set time rather than exactly N days before each start. The Plus2 midnight offset applies in 360 automatically; it must also be switched on for Go. It applies to classes, not activities.
- **Impact on Go Book:** Operator's **Book Look** look-ahead (`Configuration > Modules > Configure`) only controls how far ahead sessions are **visible** (default 14 days). The Plus2 restriction still controls when they can be **booked**. Go Book shows when the next session opens for booking. Operator can give non-member price levels a shorter window. See [Configuring Booking Release Time for Classes and Activities in Go Book](../goconsumer/configuring-booking-release-time-for-classes-and-activities-in-go-book.md).
- Staff booking in Plus2 or 360 aren't bound by Go's online booking rules.
