Building Bookable Resources in Plus2: Overview
Problem
You need to understand how bookable resources are built in Plus2 across one or more sites, from naming standards to go-live handover, and where each task is covered.
Resolution
Naming Conventions for Plus2 IDs and Descriptions
- Before creating anything: ID patterns, customer-ready descriptions and sort-order prefixes.
Configuring Multiple Sites in One Plus2 Database
- When deciding whether products are shared or site-specific, and checking the active site before saving.
Plus2 Calendars, Time Bands and Opening Hours
- When choosing between the Standard calendar and a resource's own calendar, or creating and copying calendars.
Creating Resource Products in Plus2
- When creating each bookable resource, or copying a verified one.
Creating Booking Sheets in Plus2
- When planning which resources appear together and building the sheet.
Closures, Exceptions and One-Off Sessions in Plus2
- When closing a resource temporarily.
Plus2 Resource Build QA and Go-Live Handover
- Before go-live: the build sequence, QA checklists and handover.
Notes
- Build the resource hierarchy before any live bookings, and test in the test database before applying to live.
- Confirm the active site before creating or changing anything. Plus2 starts on Head Office, which has no booking sheets.
- Reuse by copying a verified item, then change the ID and description and re-check every inherited setting.
- Block bookings are covered in Configuring Block Bookings in Plus2 and Block Bookings (Plus2 Hosted Reservations) and Invoicing (Plus2), and Block Bookings in Go Operator (Centre Management) (Go Operator).
