Plus2 Entry Points, Access Products and Tickets
Problem
Entry point profiles (who is allowed through) are managed in the GMC, but the building blocks are created in Plus2. Administrators need to create entry points, access products, pay-as-you-go tickets and entry-restricting statuses.
Resolution
Entry points
Switch to the correct site
- Entry points are listed per site.
Create the entry point
- Go to
Configuration > System > Entry points > New. The quickest way is to copy an existing one, e.g. Web. - Enter the ID (e.g. site prefix + name), Description (e.g. "Reception lane 1") and Site.
- Go to
Set the hardware
- On the Hardware tab, set a unique swipe reader prefix per reader (e.g. 10, 11) and the port type.
Leave infringements to the GMC
- Leave Ignore infringements unticked. Other restriction tabs don't matter, because the GMC profile controls access. Save.
Access products for entry-screen questions
- Create one access product per answer
- Create one Plus2 access product per answer, for reporting only (no sale), e.g.
ASACC00001Gym access, Swim access, Gym & swim access, Class access, on their own department (e.g. Access).
- Create one Plus2 access product per answer, for reporting only (no sale), e.g.
Pay-as-you-go tickets
Create a ticket layout
- Create a Plus2 ticket layout (e.g. ID
PAYG01, type Ticket, paper width, font) with date and time, member ID, product description, barcode reference and barcode.
- Create a Plus2 ticket layout (e.g. ID
Set the ticket on price products
- Set the ticket on every price product that should print one (gym sessions, swims, pay-and-go classes).
Statuses that restrict entry
- Create entry-restricting statuses
- Create statuses such as Eligibility pending in Plus2 and add them as deny entry statuses on the GMC profiles. See Setting Up Member Statuses in Plus2.
Notes
- Each site normally has standard Booking, Reception and Web entry points, and each site needs its own reception entry point.
- When hardware is replaced like-for-like, keep the existing entry points and IDs.
- Impact on the GMC and 360: GMC profiles list the subscriptions, resources (booking resource products) and products (pay-at-desk tickets) that grant entry. Whenever you add a product, reservation or membership that should grant entry, add it to the relevant profiles.
- The access products are recorded by the GMC entry-screen question buttons.
- The ticket printer and layout are set in 360 (cog > Printers).
- Once profiles are in the GMC, infringements are amended there, not in Plus2.
