Joining Fee, Promo and Till Products in Plus2
Problem
Administrators need to add joining and admin fees to memberships, control what front-of-house staff can discount, and set up product groups and promotional products so 360 buttons and the finance extract are right.
Resolution
Attach joining and admin fee products
- Attach them on the subscription's Products tab.
- Tick the same price level as the membership's price product, or the membership may not show or complete on Go.
Set the one-off fee tick
- The one-off fee tick on the subscription's fees controls what staff can discount in 360. Only one-off fees (joining fee, admin fee, add-ons) can be discounted at front of house.
- Check annual up-front memberships so their main fee isn't set up as a one-off fee if staff shouldn't discount it.
Set up product groups for 360 buttons
- Go to
Configuration > Financial > product groups. 360 Product group buttons show the products in a Plus2 product group. - Add or remove products here to change what the 360 button offers.
- Go to
Create promo/discount products (if applicable)
- For complimentary or promotional items, create promo/discount products in Plus2 on the relevant department and cost centre.
- At the till, add the activity plus the negative-value promo product, so the discount lands on the right budget line in the finance extract.
Create add-on products for hires (if applicable)
- For hires, add variable-price products for add-ons such as staffing, set-up or catering, each on its own department.
Save
- Save each product.
Notes
- Impact on 360 and GMC promo codes: the one-off fee tick decides whether the 360 POS permission Apply Membership Discounts (one-off fees only) can discount the line.
- Promo codes work in Go and 360, not in Plus2.
- Plus2 till buttons (
Configuration > Financial > Point of sale > Tills) don't affect 360; 360 tills are built separately. - Related: Setting Up Price Products in Plus2; Configuring a Subscription in Plus2; Promo Codes (Discounts on Memberships).
