# How to Create a Customer Present Card Payment Method in Plus2

**Applies to:** Plus2 administrators creating payment methods for use with Plus2 and Gladstone360. Users must have permission to create and modify Payment Methods.

## Problem
Users need to create a payment method for card transactions at Point-of-Sale in Plus2, ensuring the payment method is correctly set up for use when the customer is physically present.

## Resolution
1. Log in to Plus2 as a user with permission to create payment methods.
2. Navigate to **System > Financial > Payment Methods**.
3. Click **File > New** to create a new Payment Method.
4. On the **General Details** tab, enter the following details:
    - **ID:** e.g. CCP
    - **Description:** e.g. Card Customer Present
    - **Collection Interface:** Select **Online Authorisation** (this field must be set to Online Authorisation)
    - Additional checkboxes can be left unticked.
5. Go to the **Options** tab.
    - Tick the checkboxes as required for your setup.
6. On the **Payment Manager** tab:
    - Untick the **Customer Not Present** checkbox.
7. Click **SAVE** to store the new payment method.

The customer present payment method will now be available for selection in Gladstone360 and Plus2.

## Notes
- Plus2 administrator permissions are required to create the payment method.
- Ensure that **Collection Interface** is set to **Online Authorisation** to enable proper processing of card payments.
- Leaving unnecessary checkboxes unticked is recommended unless your organisation has specific requirements.
