# Grouping Sessions on Go Book with Plus2 Descriptions

HTML version: [Grouping Sessions on Go Book with Plus2 Descriptions](https://support.gladstonesoftware.cloud/plus2/grouping-sessions-on-go-book-with-plus2-descriptions)

## Problem
Every Plus2 activity and reservation with the **web** tick shows on Go Book, so customers can face a long list. Administrators need to group sessions into categories customers can pick from.

## Resolution

1. **Open each activity or class**
   - Open each activity or class in Plus2.

2. **Enter a shared category in the Description**
   - Enter a shared category in the **Description** (e.g. "Exercise classes", "Badminton"). Leave the name unchanged.

3. **Save and check Go Book**
   - Save. On Go Book, customers pick the category and see all matching sessions in date and time order, each still showing its own name.

## Notes

- The description must match **exactly**, including capitals and spaces. A trailing space creates a second category.
- The description **replaces** the name in the Go Book list. A session with no description shows under its own name, so give every session in a group the same description.
- Go Book search matches the description, not the names beneath it. Plan groupings around how customers search (by programme or by activity).
- There's no instructor field on Go Book. Put the instructor in the **web comments** or the session name.
- Use a distinct description for specialist or restricted sessions (e.g. "Referral classes") so general members don't book them by mistake.
- Customers can pick up to five categories at once.
- This can be done on live at any time without affecting anything else.
- **Impact on Go Book:** Go Book deep links to activities are built from Go Book tags in Operator. Bookings made on Go Book show user ID **9991** in Plus2 and 360, so staff can tell they were made online.
