# Creating Booking Sheets in Plus2

HTML version: [Creating Booking Sheets in Plus2](https://support.gladstonesoftware.cloud/plus2/creating-booking-sheets-in-plus2)

## Problem
Administrators need to plan a site's bookable areas and build the booking sheets (resource product groups) staff use in Plus2, 360 Centre Manager and Go Operator Centre Management.

## Resolution

1. **List the bookable areas**
   - List every bookable area. Split flexible spaces into sections that can be booked separately (e.g. a leisure pool used for play and lessons, two studios with a movable wall). To book the whole space, book all its sections.
   - Include pools by lane or section, sports hall courts, gym zones (e.g. induction area, density area, class space), studios, party rooms, meeting or consultation rooms, outdoor areas (e.g. park, multi-use area, marina/water) and changing areas that can be hired (e.g. for visiting teams or school lessons). Include areas you might charge for later; it's easier to create them now than to add them after go-live.
   - Sections can be split further later by adding resource products.
   - Each area needs a resource product; see [Creating Resource Products in Plus2](creating-resource-products-in-plus2.md).

2. **Plan each sheet**
   - Decide which resources appear together, column order, slot duration (e.g. 15 or 30 minutes), visible start and end times, zoom level, site group, and whether it'll be too crowded.
   - Group related resources on one sheet only while the combined view stays usable. Related studios, courts or meeting rooms often work on one sheet; a large set of lanes may be clearer across several sheets or tabs.

3. **Create the booking sheet**
   - Go to `Configuration > Bookings > Resource Product Groups` and select **New**.
   - Enter the booking-sheet ID and description.
   - Select the site group.
   - Tick the booking-sheet option.

4. **Set the view**
   - Set the slot frequency (e.g. 15 or 30 minutes).
   - Set the standard view and zoom, and the visible start and end times.

5. **Add the resource products**
   - Open **Products** and add each resource product for the sheet.
   - **Count the products** against the physical resources.

6. **Save and check the sheet**
   - Save, then open the operational booking view and check the sheet appears correctly.
   - If new columns don't show, increase the number of columns in the sheet's sections.

## Notes

- A booking sheet is a group of resource products.
- **Soft play**: capacity-based sessions (e.g. 30 places every 2 hours) can be sold online, but Go can't enforce an adult-to-child ratio. Add a reminder to the session and check at reception. For groups (e.g. a nursery), reduce the public session's capacity and book a separate session.
- Admin lists sort alphabetically by description. For a set order, use a numbered description prefix; see [Naming Conventions for Plus2 IDs and Descriptions](naming-conventions-for-plus2-ids-and-descriptions.md).
- **Where the booking sheet appears:**

  | Where | What you can do |
  |---|---|
  | **Plus2** booking sheet | Full configuration, exceptions, reservations, hosted reservations |
  | **360 Centre Manager** (360 home screen) | View bookings, with favourites. Useful for staff without Plus2 access. Plus2 booking sheets keep working alongside |
  | **Go Operator Centre Management** | Create, edit and cancel Go block bookings and booking exceptions on the same areas |

- **Attendance in 360 Centre Manager:** depending on version, Centre Manager is view-only and attendance can't be ticked there yet, or attendance is recorded by swiping or *Record attendance*. Check on your system.
- **Impact on 360 and Go:** changes on the Plus2 booking sheet show in 360 straight away (same data). A cluttered booking sheet (old booking types) slows the 360 weekly class view; move them to a "do not use" group.
