Using NordVPN with Gladstone Cloud

Problem

Some customers who work from home or cannot supply their own static IP address need secure access to the Gladstone environment. To address this, Gladstone provides a commercial NordVPN arrangement that assigns a static IP address, enabling secure access to the Gladstone product suite.

Resolution

1. Check Prerequisites

   • Ensure your organisation has a Gladstone NordVPN commercial arrangement in place.
   • Have your @gladstone-leisurecloud.net account credentials (the same credentials used for Plus2).
   • Make sure you have permission to install software on your PC. Contact your local IT team if needed.

2. Download and Install the NordVPN Commercial Client

   • Download the commercial NordVPN client from the Network Access Control & Security Software download destination provided in the original article.
   • Run the installer and follow any on-screen prompts to complete installation.

3. Enter the Organisation ID

   • When the client opens, enter the Organisation ID: gladstone-homeworkers
   • Press the arrow button or hit Enter on your keyboard to proceed.

4. Log in with Azure AD

   • Click the Login with Azure AD button.
   • You will be redirected to the Microsoft Azure login page.
   • Sign in using your @gladstone-leisurecloud.net account credentials.

5. Confirm Your Connection

   • Once logged in, you will be assigned a static IP address linked to your Gladstone environment.
   • You can now access the Gladstone product suite as needed.

Notes

• Organisation ID Issues: If "gladstone-homeworkers" is not accepted, ensure you have entered it exactly with no typos or extra spaces.
• Azure AD Login Problems: Make sure you are using the commercial NordVPN client from the provided link, not the consumer version.
• Login Fails: Use your @gladstone-leisurecloud.net account, not a personal or other organisation account.
• Access Problems After Connecting: If you cannot access Gladstone products after connecting, verify that your organisation’s NordVPN arrangement is fully provisioned. Contact your Gladstone Account Manager if needed.
• No Access to NordVPN Arrangement: If your organisation has not yet set up the NordVPN arrangement or if you do not have access, contact your Gladstone Account Manager.

Important:

• The Gladstone NordVPN client is a commercial version and is different from the standard NordVPN consumer application. Do not use the standard client.
• Your assigned IP address is unique and static for your organisation’s environment. It will remain the same every time you connect.
