GladstoneGo: Site-wide Notifications

Send an email, SMS, and/or push notification to all members who have access to selected sites.

To send a site-wide notification, you need to create an email template (if sending via email), then create a communication job to schedule sending. If sending via SMS and/or push notification, these messages can be entered while setting up the communication job.

How to create an email template for site-wide notifications

  1. Log into Operator and go to Automation Portal > Email Templates.
  2. Click the Add icon.
  3. Select Site Notification from the dropdown menu and click Confirm.
    This will open the email manager for you to add your email content.

  4. Add the details of your email, set a useful email subject, and save.

How to create a communication job for site-wide notifications

  1. Log into Operator and go to Automation Portal > Communication Jobs.
  2. Click the Add icon.
  3. Enter the name, select Site Notification and click Next.

  4. Select the sites with members you want to notify and click Next. See below for more details.
  5. Select the frequency and channels for messaging.
  6. Enter the contents of the message and/or select your email template based on the selected channels and click Next.
  7. Enter when you want the message(s) to send and save.

Notes on channels

Push notifications can only be sent through the Go Mobile app. This option will only be available if using this app.

Selecting sites

On the site selection page, you are presented with Site Groups. You can select all sites in a group by selecting the group itself.

To select individual sites in a group, click on the group dropdown, and select the sites.

Any selected sites will appear in the right-hand side and will display their site group name or the number of groups they are in.
