Example audiences

Sorry you are leaving

To send to members whose membership is about to finish.

Membership filters
  • Number of memberships > is > 1
AND
  • Membership Ends > in the next time period > {duration}
AND
  • (Optional) Active membership type > is any of > {selected memberships}

2025-07-29_17-11-44

These filters will check that the member only has one active membership and when it is ending. You can also add a filter for what the membership type is to be more specific in your communication.

If you are using additional hidden membership types like 'Induction Completed', then make the number of memberships 2.

Once the membership type filter has been added to the membership ends filter, you can use this for renewal reminders for payment-up-front memberships (in development).

Set up the communication job to run at the same frequency as the 'Membership ends' filter duration. In the above example, this would be once a week.

Status change confirmation

To send to members who status has recently changed. This is specific to the status type and so can be used for a lot of different use cases, e.g. frozen, cancelled.

Contact filters
  • Current status and last changed date > within the last > {status and duration}

2025-07-29_17-12-35

This can only be set up for a confirmation of a change that has happened, and not a scheduled change at this point.

Set up the communication job to run at the same frequency as the filter duration. In the above example, this would be once every hour.

Low activity check

To send to members who should be active but haven’t had any activity in a period. This is very useful for catching members who are slipping away before they leave.

Contact filters
  • Status > is any of > {active statuses}
Activity filters
  • Member activity > with no activity in the previous time period > {duration}

2025-07-29_17-13-42

Set up the communication job to run at the same frequency as the 'Members activity' filter duration. In the above example, this would be once a month. To do this, you would set up one-off jobs every month.

Future development will allow this to run more frequently and exclude members who have already received an email in a set amount of time.

Booking reminder

To send to members who have a booking that day.

Activity filters
  • Booking date > in the next time period > 24 Hours

2025-07-29_17-14-12

Set up the communication job to run once a day. Either at the end of the previous day or the start of the day.

Upselling membership

For when a member doesn’t have a membership but is making a lot of bookings in a period or has spent a lot of money in a period.

Contact filters
  • Status > is any of > {casual/PAYG membership status}
Activity filters
  • Bookings made > More than or equal the number of bookings made in the previous time period > {number of bookings and duration}
OR
  • Amount spent > Minimum value spent in the previous time period > {amount and duration}

2025-07-29_17-16-11

You could also do this audience with the ‘Number of memberships is 0’ filter instead of casual, but this will potentially catch members with other statuses like Frozen. It all depends on your configuration.

The number of booking or amount spent should be high enough that they would save money by purchasing a membership.

Set up the communication job to run at the same frequency as the 'Bookings made' or 'Amount spent' filter duration. In the above example, this would be once a week.
