MobilePro: App Login Configuration Guide
Problem
You need to configure the login page of your MobilePro app (Gladstone's consumer-facing mobile app) using the MobilePro Cockpit. This may include setting up instructions, adding a self-registration button for casual users, and supporting migration from Member ID & PIN to Email and Secure Password logins.
Resolution
Access Login Settings in the Cockpit
- Select Account in the top-right corner of the Cockpit.
- Select Login Settings.
Configure Available Settings
- Login Instructions
- Enter custom text to display on the login page.
- Use this to communicate important information or changes to users (e.g., if migrating from Member ID & PIN to Email and Secure Password).
- Custom Button
- Add a button to the login page that links to an external URL.
- This can direct users to a page where they can verify or set their Email and Secure Password.
- Register / Join Now Button
- Add a self-registration option to the login page for new or casual users.
- This replaces the legacy 'Register Link' setting and supports onboarding of users, such as those discovering the app through social media.
- Login Instructions
Using Login Settings During Migration
- Set Login Instructions to explain login changes to users (for example, that they now need to log in with their email address and a secure password).
- Use the Custom Button to link users to a web page for checking or setting their Email and Secure Password.
- Most password-change journeys include:
- An email verification step, where a confirmation email is sent and the user verifies their address.
- A password-setting landing page, where the user creates a new secure password.
Notes
- Gladstone can provide a deep-link URL that returns users directly to the app login page after they complete their password change journey. To request this URL, raise a case with Gladstone Support: see Raising a support case.
- The login method (Member ID/PIN vs Email/Secure Password) is not controlled in the MobilePro Cockpit. It is set in Plus2 or Gladstone360. To change the active login type, raise a case with Gladstone Support: see Raising a support case.
