# GoMobile: Operator Configuration

HTML version: [GoMobile: Operator Configuration](https://support.gladstonesoftware.cloud/kb/gomobile-operator-configuration)

## Problem
GoMobile (see [GO Mobile](../guides/glossary.md)) needs certain settings configured before it can show sessions properly on the home screen, show activity images, and support access control by QR code. If these settings are wrong, your app users may see problems such as a reduced card entry window size, inability to enter payment details, missing activity images, or errors when scanning access codes.

## Resolution

1. **Mobile App Default Site**
    - This setting is used by GoMobile to display sessions in the recommended/promoted section on the home screen when a user first downloads the app.
    - **How to configure:**
        1. Choose the site that has the most promoted activities, or your largest site.
        2. Set it as the Mobile App Default Site. Do this even if you have only one site.
    - **Note:** If this setting is not configured, the card entry window on the basket screen appears at a third of its normal size, making it difficult for your app users to enter card details or complete payments.

2. **Booking Activity Card Images**
    - This setting determines whether images are displayed on GoBook.
    - As part of GoMobile setup, Gladstone configures stock images for all activities, so that promoted activities have images to show on the app home screen.
    - **How to configure:**
        1. Unless you have already configured your own images, set Booking Activity Card Images to `0`.
        2. Do this before Gladstone's Infrastructure Team runs the image configuration script.
    - **Note:** This stops the stock images used for the app from unintentionally appearing on your live GoBook site. Most organisations do not use this feature in GoBook.

3. **Plus2 Configuration — Additional Cards**
    - [Plus2](../guides/glossary.md) is the previous-generation management system. This setting enables [Gladstone360](../guides/glossary.md) access control to validate members using secondary card types, including MobileId and MobileOfflineId for GoMobile.
    - **How to configure:**
        1. In Plus2 Config, set "Member Additional Cards" to `True`.
    - **Note:** Without this configuration, anyone scanning the access QR code in the app will receive an “unidentified swipe” error.

## Notes

- Put all of these settings in place whether you operate one site or several.
- Complete this configuration before Gladstone's Infrastructure Team runs any related scripts, so that other Gladstone products such as GoBook are not affected.
