# Configuring GBGroup for Plus2

HTML version: [Configuring GBGroup for Plus2](https://support.gladstonesoftware.cloud/kb/configuring-gbgroup-for-plus2)

## Problem
You need to configure the GBGroup address and bank account checker in Plus2 so that address lookups and bank validations work correctly. Plus2 and GMC are explained in the [glossary](../guides/glossary.md).

## Resolution
1. **Configure Bank Account Checking:**
   - Log into Plus2.
   - Go to `System Configuration` > `EFT`.
   - Set `Bank Validation` to `GBGroup`.
   - If you have multiple instances, repeat this process for each one as needed.

2. **Configure Address Checker:**
   - In Plus2, go to `System Configuration` > `General`.
   - Set `PostcodeLookupSystem` to `QuickAddressProUI-6`.

3. **Check GBGroup Integration in GMC:**
   - Go to `GMC` > `Configuration Manager` > `GBGroup Integration`.
   - If this section is missing, GBGroup has not been installed. Raise a case with Gladstone Support at [Raising a support case](../guides/raising-a-support-case.md).

4. **Verify GBGroup Credentials:**
   - Use the GBGroup credentials held in GMC to log in at [https://idmp.gb.co.uk/login?2](https://idmp.gb.co.uk/login?2).
   - Check that valid, active products are available and have not expired.
   - Note: Having negative credits for each product should not affect functionality.

5. **Testing in Plus2:**
   1. Log out and log back in after making any changes to the System Configuration.
   2. To test address lookups:
      - Use a real postcode with a test member.
      - Click the ellipsis ( ... ) box. If house numbers are returned, GBGroup is working.
   3. To test bank validation:
      - Add a bank account to a test member using random numbers for the sort code/account number.
      - If an error indicates the bank details are invalid, GBGroup is working. *(Do not use 12345678 as the account number, as GBGroup will accept this as valid.)*

## Notes
- If the `GBGroup Integration` section in GMC is missing, the GBGroup component is not installed.
- Do not use the account number `12345678` when testing, as GBGroup will accept it as valid. Use other random numbers to properly test validation.
