How to Process Customer Not Present Payments Using the Verifone Android PED

Applies to: G360 POS users, Front of House staff

Problem

You need to process a payment where the customer is not physically present (also called Keyed Transactions), by entering card details manually into the Verifone Android PED within Gladstone360 POS.

Resolution

  1. Add Items to the Basket

    • In Gladstone360 POS, add the required payable item(s) to the basket.
    • Select Pay Now.
  2. Select Customer Not Present Payment Option

    • When presented with payment methods, choose Customer Not Present.
    • Then select Pay.
  3. Process the Payment on the Verifone PED

    • A payment popup will appear in Gladstone360 POS or Check-in POS, indicating the transaction is being sent to the Verifone PED.
    • On the PED, select the required Customer Not Present option:
      • Manual
        • Select the Credit/Debit option.
        • Enter the card number and expiry date as prompted.
      • Mail Order
        • Enter the card number, expiry date, street address numerics, and postcode numerics.
        • Review the verification results on the PED.
        • When prompted, accept the transaction.
      • Phone Order
        • Follow the same steps as Mail Order: enter the card number, expiry date, street address numerics, and postcode numerics.
        • Review the verification results on the PED.
        • When prompted, accept the transaction.
  4. Verify the Transaction Was Successful

    • In G360, navigate to Check-In > Sales.
    • Locate the most recent transaction row.
    • The payment method should display Customer Not Present to confirm success.
