Other Go Operator Settings: Single Site, SSO, Payments and Notifications

Problem

Administrators need to review the remaining Go Operator settings: time zone, single-site mode, single sign-on, invoice payments, digital passes, SMS and push, Gladstone Pay keys and equipment integrations.

Resolution

  1. Open the settings

    • In Operator go to Configuration > Modules > Configure.
  2. Check the time zone

    • Time zone: GMT (Greenwich Mean Time).
  3. Set single site (if applicable)

    • Switch Single site on (1) for a one-site operator. It's also the setting to revisit if the site later wants separate landing pages.
    • Changes apply instantly, and switching it on reveals extra settings (e.g. pay invoices URL and future sales dates).
  4. Set up invoice payments (if applicable)

    • Pay invoices URL / invoice payments: lets block bookers log in to their Go account and pay an invoice online, instead of e.g. paying by BACS.
    • Paying by invoice is just a payment route: the money is recorded on the day it's taken.
  5. Leave single sign-on off unless the site uses it

    • Single sign-on (SAML with the customer's Microsoft Entra) is optional; most sites don't use it. Its settings are at the end of the Modules > Configure list. Left on by mistake, it forces external users (including Gladstone trainers) through the organisation's login.
    • Setting it up and troubleshooting it are covered in SSO (SAML / Microsoft Entra) for Go Operator.
  6. Review the remaining settings

    • Digital pass: used with the Go mobile app for digital passes and ID cards (access control).
    • SMS / push notifications: SMS is switched on with default credits (50 seen on a new site). Push is off (false). Check with Gladstone whether SMS sending is live for the site.
    • Gladstone Pay: RCP terms and conditions and the payment keys. Many keys are generated specifically for the site during implementation; the project manager populates them. See GladstonePay Settings in Go Operator.
    • Endurance Zone and other equipment integrations: e.g. treadmill distance converted into gamification points, discounts or access to different price levels. Optional.
  7. Save

    • Save each group of settings.
