# How to Configure Linked Member Invitation Emails in Go Operator

HTML version: [How to Configure Linked Member Invitation Emails in Go Operator](https://support.gladstonesoftware.cloud/gooperator/how-to-configure-linked-member-invitation-emails-in-go-operator)

## Problem
When a primary member adds an existing member to their group, that member receives an email invitation to connect, which must be accepted to complete the link. You need to edit the invitation email and set up the business rule that sends it.

## Resolution

1. **Edit the email template**
   - Go to `Automation Portal > Email Templates` and select **Linked Member Invitation**.
   - Review or edit the template as needed.

2. **Save the template**
   - Select **Save**.

3. **Create a new business rule**
   - Go to `Configuration > Automation > Business Rules`.
   - Select **Add** (the **plus (+)** button).

4. **Configure the business rule**
   - Enter a name for the business rule.
   - Set **Type** to **Link Member Invitation**.
   - Set **Action Type** to **Email**.
   - Choose the **Linked Member Invitation** template.

5. **Save the business rule**
   - Click **Save**.

## Notes

- You must have appropriate permissions to access Go Operator.
- The membership must be available in Go Join, with the correct tags assigned to display there.
