Enabling Party Bookings in Go Book
Problem
You need to let one person book several places at different price levels (for example adults and children) in a single Go Book booking, up to the spaces available.
Resolution
Enable party bookings in Operator
- Go to
Configuration > Modules > Configureand search Enable Party Bookings. - Set All sites to 1 and Save. It applies to your whole account.
- Go to
Allow the price levels on the regular product in Plus2
- Classes and activities are still set up in Plus2 in the usual way. The Purchase Allowed price levels choose which price levels are offered for party and non-member bookings.
- Open the class or activity > Products tab > open the regular product > Prices.
- Tick the price levels in Purchase Allowed and Save.
Allow the same price levels on the resource product
- Do the same on the resource product. A price level only appears if it's ticked on both.
Set per-level caps in GMC (if applicable)
- In GMC
Member Facing Global > Class Party Booking Price Levels, set Max no. per Price Level for each price level (blank = all remaining spaces). - Price Level Descriptions in the same element hold the site-specific price level names used by party bookings.
- In GMC
Notes
- If Enable Party Bookings is off, party-enabled classes still show but without the party option.
- What customers see: members book for themselves plus extra people, up to the spaces left, and a message shows when the maximum is reached. Non-members book several people at each available price level, up to the spaces left.
- Zero-value events (e.g. free talks) can be booked the same way.
- The GMC caps are used in 360 Check-in and online.
- Capacity and price come from the Plus2 class and its products.
- Changes in Plus2 can take up to 20 minutes to appear in Go Book.
- Party option missing: check Enable Party Bookings = 1, Purchase Allowed on both Plus2 products, and the GMC party booking price levels.
