## Problem
You need to know which STA School Swimming Academy Award skills must be passed for each National Curriculum swimming outcome to be complete.

## Resolution

1. **Swim competently, confidently and proficiently for at least 25 m**
   - This level is complete when this skill is passed:
     - School Swimming Academy Award 5 – Swim 25 metres using the learner's choice of recognised stroke, without aids.

2. **Use a range of strokes effectively**
   - This level is complete when **at least one** of these skills is passed:
     - School Swimming Academy Award 5 – Swim 10 metres breaststroke.
     - School Swimming Academy Award 4 – Swim 10 metres back crawl.
     - School Swimming Academy Award 4 – Swim 10 metres front crawl, attempting side breathing.

3. **Perform safe self-rescue in different water-based situations**
   - This level is complete when this skill is passed:
     - Jump in, swim 5 metres on the front and turn onto the back, then swim back to the point of entry without aids.
