# Permissions for Replacement Sessions and Planned Absences

## Problem
You need to give a user group access to the Planned Absences and Replacement Sessions features in GoLearn through group permissions.

## Resolution

1. **Open the user group**
   - Go to the **Users & Groups** page and click **Groups**.
   - Either **Edit** an existing user group or, if you are creating a new group, click **Add Group**.

2. **Expand the global permissions**
   - Click **Global** to expand and view all the permission groups.
   - Global permissions are effective regardless of the user's current centre (unless overridden).

3. **Set the Planned Absences permissions**
   - Click **PLANNED ABSENCES**. It expands to show the three permissions available.
   - Set these to **Allow** or **Grant** so that users in this group can access the feature.

4. **Set the Replacement Sessions permissions**
   - Click **REPLACEMENT SESSIONS**. It expands to show the three permissions available.
   - Set these to **Allow** or **Grant** so that users in this group can access the feature.

5. **Save the group**
   - Save the group.

## Notes

- Each permission can be set to **G** (Grant), **A** (Allow) or **D** (Deny).
