# How to Move Someone to the Next Level but Remain in the Same Class (Control Centre)

## Problem
You need to move a member up to the next level through Assessments in Control Centre while keeping them booked into their current class.

## Resolution

1. **Open the class**
   - Log in to GoLearn and navigate to the **Overview** screen.
   - Double-click into the class the member is booked into. A list of the members in the class appears.

2. **Open Assessments for the member**
   - Click **Assessments**.
   - Click the correct member's name so it is highlighted in yellow.
   - Confirm which level they are currently booked into (shown at the top of the Assessments panel).

3. **Choose to stay in the class**
   - Click **Change**.
   - In the **Move Level** pop-up, click **Stay in class**.

4. **Select the new level**
   - Click the current level (for example, Stage 7) to show the dropdown list of levels. The list is grouped into **Current Level**, **Next Level** and **Other Level(s)**.
   - Select the correct level (for example, the next level, Stage 8).

5. **Confirm the move**
   - Click **OK**.
   - The member is now moved to the new level (for example, Stage 8) but remains in the same class.
