How to Book a Customer into a Class on Block Payments in a Fixed End Date Course (Termly Lessons)
Problem
You need to book a customer into a class on a fixed end date (termly) course in GoLearn, using a block (fixed-end date) payment plan and taking payment at the point of booking.
Resolution
Open the booking screen
- Click Book in the left-hand menu.
Select the course and level
- Click the course drop-down at the top of the page (it shows the currently selected course).
- Click the fixed-end date course you are booking the customer into.
- Click the Level they are booking into. All relevant classes appear.
Select the term dates and class
- If you have multiple terms/blocks of lessons set up, make sure you select the correct term dates that the customer is booking into.
- Click Book next to the class they are going into.
Select the member
- Search for the member by their name or card number/ID number and click Search.
- Click Continue next to their name.
Select the payment plan
- The dates of the term appear, along with the fixed-end date payment plan. Select the plan so that it turns green.
- The amount the customer must pay to secure their space appears at the bottom of the page.
- Click Continue.
Take payment
- The next page registers how the customer will pay: Cash, Card, Cheque or another method (such as Credit or External).
- Click the Exact button to enter the exact amount due.
- Click Card (or the relevant payment method). The payment type you choose can be found later in your reports.
- Click Continue.
Confirm the booking
- The booking confirmation appears: the booking was successfully made and the customer is now set up and booked into their class.
- Click Make another booking to continue (if applicable).
Notes
- Always check you have selected the correct term/block dates before booking, as a course can have several terms set up.
- The payment plan must be highlighted green before you can continue.
