# How to Book a Customer into a Class on a Block Payment in a Continuous Course

## Problem
You need to book a member into a class on a continuous course in GoLearn using a block payment plan, and record the payment at the point of booking.

## Resolution

1. **Open the booking screen**
   - Click **Book** in the left-hand menu.

2. **Select the course and level**
   - Select the continuous course you are booking the member into from the course dropdown.
   - Select the **Level** they are booking into from the level dropdown. All relevant classes for that course and level appear.

3. **Select the class**
   - Click **Book** next to the class they are going into.

4. **Select the member**
   - Search for the member by their name or card number/ID number and click **Search**.
   - Click **Continue** next to the member's name.

5. **Select the block payment plan**
   - The available payment options appear. Select the **Block** payment plan (for example a set number of weeks) so that it turns green.
   - The price the customer must pay to secure their booking appears at the bottom.
   - Click **Continue**.

6. **Record the payment**
   - The payment screen opens. This page registers how the customer will pay: cash, card, cheque or other.
   - Click the **Exact** button to enter the exact amount due.
   - Click the means of payment (for example **Cash**, **Cheque**, **Credit**, **Card** or **External**). The payment type you select is what you will see in your reports.
   - Click **Continue**.

7. **Confirm the booking**
   - A **Booking Confirmation** message appears confirming the booking was successfully made. The customer is now set up and booked into their class.
   - Click **Make another booking** if you need to book another member.

## Notes

- The payment plan must turn green when selected.
