# HomePortal Shows No Price or the Wrong Price

## Problem
Swim school administrators and finance staff need to find out why parents see "No price available", a nil price or the wrong price when booking lessons online in [HomePortal](../guides/glossary.md), and fix the configuration.

## Resolution

### "No price available"

1. **Find the price product ID on the payment plan**
   - In [GoLearn](../guides/glossary.md), open the payment plan and note the price product ID.

2. **Check the ID matches Plus2**
   - Check the price product ID matches [Plus2](../guides/glossary.md) **exactly** and is in **CAPITALS**.
   - Correct any lower-case letters or typing mistakes.

3. **Check the price product's price level**
   - In Plus2, open the price product.
   - Check it's ticked for GoLearn's default [price level](../guides/glossary.md).
   - Check that price level has a price set, not £0.00.

4. **Add default memberships to a block plan (if applicable)**
   - For a block (cash) payment plan, open the **HomePortal** section of the payment plan.
   - Add a **default membership** and a **default concessionary membership** (subscription).

5. **Check HomePortal**
   - Reload HomePortal and check the price shows.

### Nil price, or a plan that shouldn't be online

1. **Check the number of sessions**
   - Check the payment plan's **Sessions** isn't set to 0. Set the correct number of sessions.

2. **Take plans off HomePortal**
   - Untick **HomePortal** on any plans that shouldn't be used online.

### Wrong price showing

1. **Look for an open direct debit plan**
   - Look for a direct debit payment plan that's open to all levels or courses and set as HomePortal bookable.

2. **Switch off HomePortal booking on it (if applicable)**
   - If that plan shouldn't be offered online, switch off HomePortal booking on it.

## Notes

- **Before you start:** GoLearn takes its prices from the price products in Plus2. You need access to the price product in Plus2 and the payment plan in GoLearn.
- GoLearn uses a default price level (for example JUNIOR, CHILD or STAND, depending on your setup). If you're not sure which one your site uses, ask Gladstone support.
- For block plans, the default membership in the HomePortal section is needed for the price to show, but it doesn't add a subscription to the member in Plus2.
- To change a lesson price, amend the price product in Plus2.
- GoLearn and HomePortal don't support promotion codes or discounts. Promo codes are for Go Join only. You can submit a [feature enhancement request](https://hello.gladstonesoftware.com/feature-enhancement-request).
- A wrong price is usually a configuration check, not a known issue.
- **Troubleshooting:**
  - **"No price available" though the price is set in Plus2:** the price product isn't ticked for GoLearn's default price level, or that level is £0.00. Tick the default price level and set a price.
  - **New payment plan shows no price:** the product ID on the plan doesn't match Plus2 exactly or isn't in capitals. Correct the product ID.
  - **Block (cash) plan shows no price:** there's no default and default concessionary membership in the plan's HomePortal section. Add both.
  - **Nil price, or crash course classes can't be uncancelled:** the payment plan is set to 0 sessions. Set the correct number of sessions, and untick HomePortal on plans not used online.
  - **Wrong price offered online:** a direct debit plan open to all levels or courses is HomePortal bookable. Switch off HomePortal booking on that plan.
- **Common questions:**
  - **Does the product ID on the payment plan have to match Plus2 exactly?** Yes: exactly, and in capitals.
  - **Can we use a promo code for swimming lessons booked online?** No. Promo codes are for Go Join only. Change the price product in Plus2 if you need a different price.
- **Contact Gladstone support** if you don't know which default price level GoLearn uses for your site, or if the price still doesn't show after these checks. Include the course, the payment plan name, the price product ID and a screenshot of HomePortal.
