## Problem
This article answers common questions about using the School Swimming module within GoLearn, covering setup, management, pupil data, lesson delivery, progress tracking, schemes, access, and support.

## Resolution

### Getting Started With School Swimming

1. **Activating the School Swimming Module**  
   - To activate the module, contact your Account Manager for a personalised quote.
   - The module is also accessible in your Go Learn test environment. If you are unsure how to access this, log a ticket with the Support team.

2. **Setup Guides**  
   - All setup guides for configuring schools and lessons are available in the Resource Hub.

3. **Training**  
   - No formal training is required as the system is designed for ease of use. Self-help guides are available in the Resource Hub.

### Managing Schools & Bookings

4. **Session Bookings**  
   - Schools cannot currently book their own sessions. Operators manage session bookings. Future updates may allow for school self-booking.

5. **Multiple Schools in the Same Slot**  
   - Only one school per slot is supported. To run multiple schools at the same time, create separate slots. Multiple school slots can run simultaneously, similar to regular swimming lessons.

6. **Pre-cancelling Sessions**  
   - Sessions can be pre-cancelled during class setup (e.g., for school closures or known absences).
   - Sessions can also be cancelled later by editing the relevant booked slot.

7. **Booking for an Entire Year**  
   - Bookings can be made for any duration, including the entire year. Remember to cancel out-of-term dates as needed.

### Pupil Data & Access

8. **Uploading Pupil Data**  
   - Either the school or the centre can upload pupil data. Schools can upload via CSV or manually; centres can also do this on their behalf.
   - Download the relevant CSV template, add pupil information, and upload.

9. **Managing Pupil Records**  
   - Schools can add, edit, group, and assign pupils to each class/slot within the Activity Portal.

10. **Data Sharing**  
    - School swimming pupil data is held separately in the Activity Portal and is not shared with the main database.

11. **Medical Conditions or Notes**  
    - Medical notes can be uploaded and will appear as alerts on the teacher portal.

12. **Customising Data Fields**  
    - Data fields are currently fixed. Additional fields may be considered in future development. Submit requests as feature enhancements.

### Teacher Portal & Lesson Delivery

13. **Teacher Portal for School Lessons**  
    - School classes appear in the teacher (Coach) Portal like regular classes, identifiable as Slot:{School's Name}. No need to switch portals.

14. **Moving Pupils Between Ability Groups**  
    - Teachers can reassign pupils to different ability groups at any time via the portal.

15. **Assigning Teachers to Ability Levels**  
    - When setting up a class, specify which teacher is responsible for each stage.

16. **Multiple Teachers Per Class**  
    - Multiple teachers can be assigned to one class to enable team-based delivery and group-level assessments.

### Progress Tracking & Reporting

17. **Retaining Pupil Progress**  
    - Pupil progress records persist between terms, even if there is a gap.

18. **School Access to Pupil Reports**  
    - Schools can view and report on their pupils’ progress in real time via the Activity Portal.

19. **Certificates for Schools**  
    - Digital certificates are in development; currently not available to print.

20. **Reporting on National Curriculum Outcomes**  
    - Assessment criteria align with national standards. Reporting dashboards are continuously improving.

21. **Live Progress Data**  
    - Teachers’ real-time assessment updates are immediately reflected in reporting.

### Schemes & Awards

22. **Swim England and STA Awards**  
    - Fitronics is working with both organisations to include and update school swimming award schemes.

23. **Custom Schemes**  
    - Custom schemes, such as the national curriculum, can be uploaded and used.

### Licensing, Access & Support

24. **Number of Schools per Site**  
    - There is no limit to the number of schools per site. The licence is per site, but unlimited schools can be managed.

25. **Access Levels for Schools**  
    - Currently, only admin access is available for schools. Read-only roles are being developed.

26. **Resetting User Passwords**  
    - Admins can reset passwords for schools from the Activity Portal. School users can also reset their own passwords.

27. **Invoicing**  
    - Invoicing is not currently handled within Go Learn. This is under consideration for future development.

### Feedback & Future Development

28. **Booking and Payment by Schools**  
    - Direct booking and payment by schools may be introduced in the future based on customer demand.

29. **Progress Matching Across Schemes**  
    - School swimming and learn-to-swim progress are currently kept as separate data sets.
