GoLearn 3.23 Release - Bug Fixes (September 2026)

Problem

You want to know which issues were fixed in GoLearn 3.23 across ControlCentre, HomePortal and Online Joining, and how each one now behaves.

Resolution

ControlCentre

  1. Contact Trigger placeholders in top-up emails

    • We've fixed an intermittent issue where placeholders within Contact Trigger emails could appear blank for some recipients.
    • This could affect information such as course dates, pricing and duration, meaning members receiving the same trigger could see different levels of information within their emails.
    • Placeholders now populate correctly and consistently when these Contact Trigger emails are sent.
  2. Waiting List trigger level selection

    • We've fixed an issue with Waiting List Contact Triggers configured for specific levels within a programme.
    • Previously, notifications could fail to send unless every level within the programme was selected, even when the available class matched one of the levels configured on the trigger.
    • Waiting List notifications now correctly send when a class matches at least one of the selected levels, giving greater flexibility when configuring automated waiting list communications.
  3. Direct Debit Collections report accuracy

    • We've fixed an issue where the Direct Debit Collections report could show a higher paid total than the amount actually collected.
    • This was caused by stale collection items remaining against memberships where the associated class had already ended. These items could then be incorrectly included in the report total.
    • Stale collection items are no longer included in the Direct Debit Collections report, and we've also made changes to prevent these items from being created in the same way going forward, so reported totals more accurately reflect the amount actually collected.
  4. Class Size Contact Triggers for Fixed End Date classes

    • We've fixed an issue with the Class Size condition used within Contact Triggers for Fixed End Date classes.
    • Previously, the condition could use the wrong source when determining class size, meaning the trigger might not evaluate Fixed End Date classes correctly.
    • The Class Size condition now correctly evaluates these classes, so associated Contact Triggers fire when the configured criteria are met.

HomePortal

  1. Failed top-ups incorrectly adding sessions
    • We've fixed an issue where a failed Pay top-up could still result in sessions being added to a member and course debt being created.
    • Top-ups that fail during the payment process no longer incorrectly apply the associated sessions, helping keep member balances and course debt accurate.

Online Joining

  1. Course Group information links
    • We've fixed an inconsistency with Course Group information links within Online Joining.
    • Previously, the same Course Group information link could behave differently depending on where it was displayed. In some areas it correctly opened the URL configured against the Course Group, while elsewhere it could redirect users back to Online Joining instead.
    • Course Group information links now consistently direct users to the configured information URL wherever they appear within Online Joining.
