Enabling Parent/Guardian Movements in Homeportal

Problem

Parents or guardians want to move their child to the next stage or level in Homeportal, but are unsure how to enable or complete this process.

Resolution

1. Staff: Enable Child Movement for Homeportal

   1. Go to the Members tab.
   2. In the Movement section on the right, locate the list of members ready to move. These will appear with a red icon.
   3. Members who have a Homeportal account will display a house icon inside the red box.
   4. To allow a parent or guardian to move their child online, tick the red box. The box will turn green, and a contact trigger will be sent to the parent or guardian.

2. Parent/Guardian: Move Child to Next Level

   1. Log in to your Homeportal account.
   2. Locate your child and click the Move option displayed under their name.
   3. Click the green button on the right labeled Choose Class.
   4. Review the available options for the next level with available spaces.
   5. Select the class that suits you by clicking on it.
   6. Confirm your class selection when prompted.
   7. Your child will now be moved to the new class or level. The new class will be visible for you to monitor their progress.

• Only children marked with a green box after staff action will be eligible for parent/guardian-initiated movement online.
