# Date Signed Up To Class Filter

## Problem
You want to target message recipients in the CommsPortal based on when they signed up to a class, using the **Date Signed Up To Class** filter.

## Resolution

1. **Add the filter**
   - In the CommsPortal, when creating a segment or selecting your audience for a message, click **Add Filter**.
   - Click **Date Signed Up To Class**.

2. **Choose an option**
   - The following options are presented:

     | Type | Options |
     |---|---|
     | **Relative** | is (in the past), is less than, is more than |
     | **Absolute** | is, is after, is before, is not |
     | Other | is empty, is not empty |

3. **Enter the value**
   - For some options you enter a number of days, for example: *Date Signed Up To Class* **is** 3 **days ago**.
   - For other options you select an actual date from a calendar, for example: *Date Signed Up To Class* **is after** 1st July 2026.
