# How to Create Booking Membership Restrictions in GoBook

HTML version: [How to Create Booking Membership Restrictions in GoBook](https://support.gladstonesoftware.cloud/goconsumer/how-to-create-booking-membership-restrictions-in-gobook)

## Problem
You want to restrict certain activities or reservations in GoBook so that only members with specific subscriptions or memberships can book them. This is useful for sessions exclusive to certain membership levels or activities requiring a specific certification.

## Resolution

1. **Open Booking Membership Restrictions**
   - Log in to Operator.
   - Navigate to: **Configuration > Booking and Reservations > Bookings > Booking Membership Restrictions**.

2. **Create a New Restriction**
   - Click **+ Add New** to start adding a new booking restriction.

3. **Name the Restriction**
   - Enter a name for the restriction.
   - Select **Confirm**.

4. **Select the Allowed Subscriptions**
   - From the list, choose the Membership Groups or specific Memberships allowed access to the restricted activities or sessions.
   - For example, to make the "60 minute PT" activity available only to Premium memberships, select the Premium Membership Group.
   - After selecting all required subscriptions, click **Next**.

5. **Select Activities or Reservations**
   - Select the specific Activities or Reservations to which the restriction will apply.
   - Click **Save** to apply the configuration.

6. **Confirm the Restriction**
   - The restriction is now active.
   - Only members with the selected subscriptions will be able to book the configured activities or reservations.

## Notes

- You must have appropriate permissions and access to Operator.
- Membership subscriptions and activities/reservations should be configured in advance.
- This applies to GoBook administrators and users managing membership-exclusive activities.
