# Enabling 'Book for Others' Feature

HTML version: [Enabling 'Book for Others' Feature](https://support.gladstonesoftware.cloud/goconsumer/enabling-book-for-others-feature)

## Problem
Primary members cannot book sessions or classes on behalf of their linked members in Gladstone Go, even when linked memberships are in place.

## Resolution

1. **Open the module settings**
   - In Operator, go to `Configuration > Modules > Configure`.

2. **Find the setting**
   - Search for **Enable Book for Others** and select **Manage**.

3. **Switch it on**
   - In the **All sites** field, enter `1` to activate the feature.

## Notes

- With the setting on, the primary member or guardian can book for, and see the bookings of, the people linked to them. This works one way only.
- For junior members, the primary member always has access and control to book classes for them.
- For linked members who are not juniors, each member can choose whether to allow the primary member to book on their behalf. This permission is optional and controlled by the linked member.
- Group memberships must have been created and configured, as these are required for **Book for Others** to work.
- If the primary still cannot book for linked members, check the GMC **Linked Member Bookings** settings in `Configuration Manager > Member Facing Global`.
