## Problem
Users need a way to quickly save, apply, and manage custom filter selections on dashboards or drill-downs in Gladstone Reporting, making it easier to access relevant data and share filter configurations with colleagues.

## Resolution

### Key Features
- Save filter selections as bookmarks for quick access.
- Create bookmarks using one or multiple filters.
- Choose to keep bookmarks private (visible only to the creator) or public (shared within your group).
- Public bookmarks provide consistency so everyone in the group sees the same data.
- Delete unwanted private bookmarks. Public bookmarks can only be managed by their creator.

### How to Use Filter Bookmarks

#### 1. Create a Private Bookmark
1. In your dashboard or drill-down, adjust the filters as needed.
2. Click the **Save Bookmark** button.
3. Select **Save Bookmark as Private Bookmark** (visible to the creator only).

#### 2. Create a Public Bookmark
1. In your dashboard or drill-down, adjust the filters as needed.
2. Click the **Save Bookmark** button.
3. Select **Save Bookmark as Public Bookmark** (visible to all users within your group).

#### 3. Apply a Filter Bookmark
1. Navigate to your dashboard or drill-down.
2. Use the **Select Bookmark** drop-down menu at the top of the filter pane.
3. Choose the desired filter bookmark to apply the saved filters.

#### 4. Remove a Filter Bookmark
1. On your dashboard or drill-down, open the **Select Bookmark** drop-down menu.
2. Click the red **'x'** next to the bookmark you want to remove.
3. Confirm removal by selecting **Yes**.

**Note:** Only the creator can remove public Filter Bookmarks.

#### 5. Update a Filter Bookmark
1. Navigate to the dashboard or drill-down containing the filter bookmark you want to update.
2. Select the bookmark from the **Select Bookmark** drop-down menu.
3. Click the red **'x'** next to it to remove (if required), leaving the original filter selection in place.
4. Update the filters as desired.
5. Click **Save Bookmark**, and either re-use the existing name or enter a new name.

## Notes
- The Filter Bookmarks feature is available on every dashboard and drill-down in Gladstone Reporting.
- Sharing a filter bookmark as public allows users within your group to access the same filter settings for consistency.
- Only the creator can manage or remove public bookmarks they have created.
