Setting up 2FA in GladstonePay Portal
Problem
You need to set up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) to access the GladstonePay portal. This process adds an extra layer of security by requiring you to use an authenticator app on your phone when logging in.
Resolution
Install an Authenticator App
- Before starting, ensure you have an authenticator app installed on your smartphone. Examples include Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator.
Log in to the GladstonePay Portal
- Go to https://admin.gladstonepay.co.uk/admin/login.php.
- Log in with your supplied account details.
Set Up 2FA
- After logging in, a page with a QR code will be displayed. This is required for setting up 2FA.
Scan the QR Code
- Open the authenticator app on your phone.
- Select the option to add a new account or scan a barcode.
- Use the app to scan the displayed QR code.
- This will add your GladstonePay account to your authenticator app.
Enter the Code
- The app will now display a code for GladstonePay.
- Enter this code on the GladstonePay page to complete 2FA setup.
- You now have access to the system.
Future Logins
- Each time you log in, you will be prompted for a new code from your authenticator app.
Notes
- If you need to set up 2FA again, you must contact Gladstone Support. Raise a case via the Gladstone Portal to get assistance.
- The 2FA code is always generated by your authenticator app on your smartphone.
- Two-Factor Authentication helps protect your account by requiring an additional identity check beyond your password.
