Using the GMC Configuration Manager

Problem

Administrators need to find a Gladstone 360 setting in the GMC Configuration Manager, give one site a different value from the rest, and make sure saved changes reach every user.

Resolution

  1. Open the Configuration Manager

    • Go to GMC > Configuration Manager > Configuration.
  2. Choose the element and instance

    • Choose the element in Please Select Product and, if there's more than one, the instance in the drop-down beside it.
    • Use Expand all to see every section. Introduction gives a summary of the module.
    ElementCovers
Gladstone360 CheckIn POSCache, general check-in/POS settings, membership emails, Payment Manager, prospect emails, toastr, documents, email templates
Gladstone360 ContactsCache, freeze settings, password reset, documents, email templates
Gladstone360 Front of HouseActivity groups, bank and identity validation, cache, financial, general, membership, regional and workflow settings, subscription types and groups, documents, email templates
Gladstone360 HomeHome bar and home screen
Gladstone360 AccessClass check-in widget and access settings
Member Facing GlobalSettings shared with customer-facing products (Go, Connect, MobilePro)
Shared GlobalSettings shared across the suite
  3. Give one site its own value (if applicable)

    • Many settings have an All Sites value. To give one site a different value:
      • Click the option to add another control to the setting (for example Activity Start Tolerance Time).
      • A new empty parameter appears at the bottom of the section.
      • Enter the value and select the site it applies to.
    • On saving, the site-specific value overrides the All Sites value for that site.
  4. Save and close

    • Select Save, then Close. Users see the change at next login; a browser refresh may be needed.
