Using EFT Site Groups for Direct Debit Payments
Problem
You need to configure and use an EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) Site Group in Plus2 and GMC in order to process Direct Debit payments across multiple sites, rather than being limited to single-site processing.
Resolution
Create the EFT Site Group in Plus2
- In Plus2, go to
Configuration > System > Site Groups > Create New Site Group. - Add the required sites to the new group.
- Tick EFT Site Group.
- Choose a relevant and memorable name for the Site Group ID (for example,
TRIN).
- In Plus2, go to
Enable the Site Group in GMC
- In Plus2, make sure your current site is the one you want to run the Direct Debit run against (for example,
TRIN). - Go to
Configuration > Financial > Site Accounts. - Set Electronic Funds Transfer Scope to
Site Group. - Set EFT Group to your Site Group ID (for example,
TRIN). - Tick EFT Use Single Processing Date.
- In Plus2, make sure your current site is the one you want to run the Direct Debit run against (for example,
Check the setup in GMC
- In GMC, go to Electronic Funds Transfer and select Process Run.
- Select the site you want to run the EFT against.
- Confirm the site is selected as Site Group and that the Site Group ID matches the one you created.
- Run a test to verify the process and confirm the numbers are correct.
Notes
- A site can only belong to one EFT Site Group. If a site is already part of an EFT Site Group, it cannot be included in another group with EFT enabled.
- The site is already in another EFT Site Group: you must remove the site from its existing EFT Site Group before adding it to a new one.
- GMC does not show the expected EFT Group: check that Electronic Funds Transfer Scope is set to
Site Group, and ensure that EFT Group matches the Site Group ID created in Plus2. - Test run numbers do not look correct: make sure you have selected the correct site in GMC, and verify that all required sites have been added to the EFT Site Group.
