Member Facing Global and Shared Global Settings in the GMC
Problem
You need to set the GMC settings that Gladstone 360 shares with Go and the rest of the suite, such as when classes are released, party-booking caps, linked-member rights, consent and cancellation notice periods.
Resolution
Open Configuration Manager
- In the GMC, go to
Configuration Manager > Configurationand choose Member Facing Global or Shared Global in Please Select Product.
- In the GMC, go to
Set Member Facing Global (shared with Go)
- These settings are shared with the customer-facing products: Gladstone Go and the older Connect and MobilePro.
Section Setting Effect on Go and 360 Class Configuration Midnight Offset (in hours) Classes normally become bookable at midnight. Enter a value from −23 to 23 (up to 2 decimal places) to move the release. For example, −2 releases at 22:00 the night before; with a 7-day window and a first class at 07:00, an offset of 6 releases classes at 06:00. A value of 22 delays release by 22 hours, which is a common mistake. The Plus2 midnight offset applies in 360 automatically. Switch it on for Go as well, and tell customers before changing it. It applies to classes, not activities Class Party Booking Price Levels Price Level and Max no. per Price Level Caps how many bookees (people booked onto a reservation) at each price level can be added to one reservation in one transaction (blank = all remaining spaces). Notes
- Go settings held in Operator: Member Facing Global settings change Go Book and My Account directly. Operator holds the separate Go age settings (own-account age and consent age) and Go Book booking limits. Keep the two sets consistent. See Go Account Age, Guardian and Shared-Email Settings, Go Book Booking and Cancellation Settings in Operator and Enabling Party Bookings in Go Book.
- Consent in Plus2 and Go: consent text and campaigns appear on the Plus2 preferences tab and in 360. Go Join consents are logged on the contact's Preferences automatically. They govern marketing only; service messages can still be sent to anyone.
- Notice periods: a Sub Type's own Cancellation Notice Period takes priority over the Shared Global value. See Configuring Subscription Types (Sub Types) in the GMC.
