Gladstone 360 POS Till Permissions
Problem
You need to know which permission lets a 360 POS user open the till, take payments, give refunds or discounts, run readings or configure tills and PC settings, or why one of those options is unavailable.
Resolution
These permissions are set on POS roles in GMC > Security Configuration > Permissions, grouped under the headings below.

Notes
- Refund and discount authorisation codes: the 2017 permission guide says a restricted user needs a refund authorisation code (for refunds) or a discount authorisation code (for discounts). The Refund Authorisation Code setting was removed in v1.8 (May 2016) and the Discount Authorisation Code setting in v1.9 (June 2016). Treat the supervisor-password model in step 5 as current.
- This list comes from Gladstone's 2017 POS and Check-in permission guide. Newer builds may have added, renamed or removed permissions; check the live Permissions screen when a name doesn't match.
- Booking, attendance, correspondence, document and search permissions on the same POS roles are in Gladstone 360 Check-in and Member Record Permissions.
- How the till and check-in screen work is covered from Gladstone 360 Check-in Screen and Point of Sale (Till).
