Gladstone 360 Permission Reference Overview
Problem
You need to understand how 360 permissions are configured in the GMC and find which permission lets a user do something, or why a user can't see part of 360, and where each area is covered.
Resolution
Individual 360 permissions are set in GMC > Security Configuration > Permissions, grouped by the heading they appear under. Each article below covers one area.
Assigning and Creating Security Roles in the GMC
- When you need to know what Allow, Deny, Current Site and Site Group mean, how multiple roles combine, or how to assign and edit roles.
Gladstone 360 Contacts Permissions
- When a user can't view or edit part of a contact record, such as memberships, links or scheduled actions.
Gladstone 360 Check-in and Member Record Permissions
- When a Check-in user can't book, record attendance, manage correspondence or documents, or search.
Gladstone 360 POS Till Permissions
- When a POS user can't open the till, take payment, refund, discount, run readings or configure tills.
Gladstone 360 Access, Operator and System Role Permissions
- When you set Access roles, Security Admin, or Operator roles for Centre Management and Block Bookings.
Notes
- The Contacts, POS and Check-in lists come from Gladstone's 2017 permission guides. Newer builds may have added, renamed or removed permissions; for example, Operator, Access and block-booking permissions are not in either list. Check the live Permissions screen when a name doesn't match.
- Give each user one role per application; with more than one, the role with the least access is used. After changing permissions, users must log out and back in for them to take effect.
- The recommended Standard/Supervisor/Admin settings are in Recommended Gladstone 360 Roles and Permission Levels.
