How to Review EGYM Sync Errors

Problem

Some members have not appeared in EGYM, or have stopped updating there, and you need to find which member records failed to sync and why, so that you can correct them.

Resolution

1. Open the Sync Errors section

   • Go to Configuration > Integrations > EGYM and scroll to Sync Errors.
   • "Syncing has not started yet." means no site has been added to EGYM yet.
   • "All members synced correctly" means there are no outstanding errors. It appears as soon as the first site has been added, before its initial sync date, so it does not on its own confirm that a sync has run.

2. Read the error list

   • Each row shows the member's ID, Name and Email, the Error Date, the Error Type and the Error Details. The list is sorted by Error Date, and every column except Error Details can be sorted. Hover over Error Details to read a long message in full.
   • Only errors that still need action are listed.

3. Narrow the list (if applicable)

   • Type a member ID, name or email address, or part of one, in the search box.
   • Select Filter and choose one or more values under Error Type. Clear all removes the filter. Search and filter can be combined.
   • If nothing matches, the table says so; that does not mean every member synced correctly.

4. Work out what to fix from the Error Type

   • Gladstone: the member's record in Gladstone cannot be sent as it is, for example because the first name, surname or email address is missing. Any error that does not fit the other two types is also shown as Gladstone.
   • EGYM: EGYM rejected the member. The details start with the code EGYM returned, for example EGYM 409:, which means EGYM already holds an account with the same membership ID or email address.
   • Connection: the member could not be sent to EGYM at the time, for example because EGYM could not be reached.

5. Correct the member record

   • For Gladstone and EGYM errors, open the member in Operator and correct the details named in Error Details, then save.

Notes

• The section shows the 500 most recent outstanding errors.
• Connection errors are not retried automatically.
• Removing a site from EGYM does not remove its errors from this list.
• The list covers every EGYM site and does not show which site an error came from.
